SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a traffic light recognition method and a traffic light recognition device. When setting the numeric threshold based on the first distance, the first threshold is set as the numeric threshold in the case where the first distance is equal to or greater than the distance threshold. Setting the second threshold less than the first threshold as a numerical threshold in the case where the first distance is less than the distance threshold, and outputting the last determination result in the case where the number of determination results identical to the last determination result exceeds the numerical threshold, from the results of the determination, constituting the sequence of results. The traffic light recognition device comprises an imaging unit and a controller.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of image recognition is achieved.
