FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the collision avoidance technology for the vehicle. Device operates as follows. Obtaining the space near the vehicle image, then detecting the quadruped animals presence or absence in the image, if the animals are present, then the quadruped animals types determining unit compares the detected animals with the various animals predetermined pattern and determines the captured by the camera animals matching with the template. Based on the animals characteristics index predicting the quadruped animals presence area. Based on the quadruped animal presence result, determining probability of collision with the vehicle. If there is a probability of collision, the aid processing unit performs the assistance processing to prevent a collision.
EFFECT: enabling assistance in the collisions prevention by the future field of animal presence more accurate assessing based on the type behavior characteristics and the collision probability determination.
