FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to impulse technology, in particular to electric discharge technologies, and can be used for electro-hydraulic fragmentation, crushing and disintegration of materials. Generator includes a discharge circuit, the equivalent circuit of which consists of a series connection of resistance (R) of the power generation unit, electrical capacitance (C) of high-voltage energy storage based on pulse capacitors, inductance (L) of connecting cables, a key on the basis of the high-voltage switch (S) and crowbar circuit based on high-voltage semiconductor diodes (VD), installed after the switch, which makes it possible to reduce the values of the inverse components of the discharge current and voltage, thereby transferring the discharge regime from oscillatory to aperiodic, which helps to increase the service life of a pulsed high-voltage capacitor and a high-voltage switch at a high efficiency of electromechanical energy transformation in the working spark channel.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the reliability of the pulse current generator by increasing the service life of its assemblies – energy storage device based on a pulsed high-voltage capacitor and high-voltage switch based on tyratron, ignitron or any other key, with high efficiency of electromechanical energy transformation in the working spark channel.
