OPTICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL TIME ANALYSIS OF A LIQUID SAMPLE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N21/00

Abstract RU 2666816 C2

FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an optical system and method for performing a real-time analysis of a liquid sample comprising determining a characteristic as a function of the time of a liquid sample containing a plurality of objects. Claimed group of inventions includes an optical system for characterizing a characteristic as a function of time for at least a portion of a fluid volume containing a plurality of objects and a method for determining a characteristic as a function of time for a volume of a liquid containing a plurality of objects. Moreover, the optical system comprises an optical detection node comprising at least one image acquisition apparatus configured to acquire images of an image acquisition region, a sample device comprising a sample container for holding a sample of said volume of liquid, the sample including at least a portion of a plurality of objects, a moving means configured to repeatedly move said image acquisition region through at least one part of said sample container for performing a plurality of sequential scans along a scanning path through said at least one part of said sample container to obtain images of the image acquisition region, respectively, and the system of analysis-image processing, wherein the optical detection unit receives images of the image acquisition region in a plurality of positions during each scanning of the image acquisition region, while the moving means moves the image acquisition region along the scanning path through at least a portion of said sample container, the sample container holding the sample in a substantially stationary state during each scan and wherein the analysis-image processing system is programmed with the possibility to define a set of characteristics containing a set of values for each object from the set of objects fixed on the images from each scan, respectively, and to determine for each scan at least one derived result that is output from the plurality of sets of values, and to represent said at least one derived result determined for a plurality of consecutive scans as a function of time indicative of the characteristic.

EFFECT: creation of an optical system and a method for real-time analysis of a liquid sample containing a plurality of objects, the analysis can be performed quickly, while providing highly reliable results, as well as the creation of an optical system and method that can be used to perform a sensitivity test that is high-speed and also provides highly reliable results.
