FIELD: nuclear physics, nuclear technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods, systems and apparatus for the production of molybdenum-99. Device is intended for 99Mo production from a variety of 100Mo targets by photonuclear reaction on 100Mo targets and can be used in medical diagnostic studies. Device comprises a linear electron accelerator, a water-cooled converter for producing a high-energy brake photon flux, a water-cooled target assembly for mounting therein 100Mo target holder, shielding components for protecting the water-cooled target assembly. Apparatus further comprises an integrated target transfer assembly with a component for remotely controlled loading and transport of target holders to the target transfer component.

EFFECT: technical result - ensured production of 99Mo from 100Mo by irradiation with high-energy electrons using linear accelerators.
