FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous inks for digital printing systems. Described is an ink composition for variable data offset printing process, comprising a dispersible siloxane-containing polymer nanoparticles or a blend thereof. Solids content in the ink is more than 25 wt%. Ink has viscosity of 10 to about 1,000,000 cps at 25°C or in the range of 20 to 50°C, surface tension of 15 to 40 dynes/cm at 25°C or in the range of 20 to 50°C.
EFFECT: invention provides improved print quality and color uniformity on various substrates, the formation of thin image layers with improved ink ability to wet hydrophobic surfaces and to transfer from the intermediate element to the substrate.
