Method for producing meat-based feed concentrate (1), wherein a) cutter (5) is charged for the preparation of a semi-finished feed comprising ingredients, which have a temperature equal to or lower than +25 °C, at least one member of the group meat, b) the ingredients are chopped to a semi-finished feed with moisture content of 30–60 wt%, c) the semi-finished feed is optionally dried to a moisture content of 5 wt% to 40 wt%, d) the optionally dried semi-finished feed is crushed to obtain particles with size ranging from 0.5 mm to 5 mm, e) and one or more thickeners are added to the dried semi-finished feed particles.
