FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building. Method for predicting the wear of brake linings is that during parameterization during test runs using measurements with predetermined time intervals, the thickness of the lining, slip speed, pressure of pressing, the deceleration period, and also optionally the temperature or the braking power are determined. Wear, constant, and material parameters are then determined. In the state of operation, with known material and constant values, wear rates are determined. From the maximum allowable wear values, average wear and wear rates, the remaining braking period is then determined until the next change of the pad.
EFFECT: technical sophistication and reliability are reduced.
