FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil refining, in particular to a method of producing an anisotropic petroleum pitch. Method is taken in two stages, the crude high-temperature binding pitch with the desired properties is used as the raw material, at the first stage, before the inlet to the flow reactor, the reaction mixture is purified from the non-melt components by means of a filter. Process of thermo-polycondensation of a mixture of high-temperature oil pitch binder with a high aromaticity solvent is carried out in a flow reactor with recirculation of the reaction mass. Then, at the second stage of the process, the physicochemical and chemical concentration of the anisotropic phase is carried out by isothermal aging while bubbling the reaction mass by blowing natural gas into the volume of the reactor at a gas flow rate in the amount of 0.015–0.025 kg/h per kg of reaction mass, that is accompanied by thermo-cycondensation of mesogenic and stripping of volatile low-molecular components of the mixture. Distilled low-molecular weight reaction products are sent to a separation column to obtain hydrocarbon gases, gasoline, light and heavy gas oils.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a target anisotropic pitch with a mesophase content of 50–100 % by weight.
