FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pigmented aqueous primer material, a multilayer paint system and a method for production thereof. Aqueous primer material contains a pigment, water and a polyether-based reaction product. Polyether-based reaction product is obtained by reacting (a) trimesic acid with (b) at least one polyether of general structural formula (I)

in which R is C3-C6 alkylene radical and n are selected so that the polyether (b) has a number-average molecular weight of 750–4,000 g/mol. Molar ratio of components (a) and (b) in reaction is 0.8/2.2–1.6/1.8. Acid number of the obtained reaction product is 5–50 mg KOH/g. Aqueous primer material can be obtained by an environmentally friendly method using specifically aqueous ground materials and is used to improve resistance to cracking of paint systems obtained using primer material.

EFFECT: disclosed are carboxy-functional reaction products based on polyether and aqueous priming materials containing reaction products.
