SUBSTANCE: sheet-shaped article (1) for the absorbent article of the present invention includes a plurality of absorbent sections (4), each of which includes long base portion (2) and particles (3) of the water-absorbent polymer, which are attached to the surface on the first side of long base part (2). In sheet-shaped article (1), absorbent sections (4) are arranged such that their longitudinal directions are oriented in one direction. Before the liquid is absorbed by water absorbent polymer particles (3), water absorbent polymer particles (3) are attached to the surface on the first side of each of long base parts (2), and also attached to side edge portions (2s) of each of long base portions (2) extending along the longitudinal direction.
EFFECT: sheet-shaped article and a method for manufacturing a sheet-like article are described.
