SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of new methods of producing photosensitizers. The following is proposed: a method of the preparation of copper metal complex chlorin e6 with structural formula (1), including the reaction of N-methyl-D-glucamine and a water-soluble copper salt in an aqueous solution to obtain a compound with structural formula (2), metalation reaction of a compound with structural formula (3) compound with structural formula (2) in an aqueous solution, followed by incubation of the solution at a temperature of 37–60°C for 10–30 minutes.
