FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for photodynamic therapy of a transplanted tumor of Ehrlich carcinoma in mice with a chlorin series photosensitizer, including the introduction of a photosensitizer and, after a certain drug-light interval, exposure to a tumor with laser light with a wavelength of 662 nm, according to the invention, the photosensitizer has the structural formula:
while 132-(5-biguanidylbutylamide)-chlorin e6 is administered intravenously at a dose of 1.25 mg/kg, which, when extrapolated to a dose for humans, is 0.11 mg/kg, and sensitized tumor tissues are exposed to laser light with parameters: energy E - 150 J/cm2, power density Ps - 0.48 W/cm2, and the time between the introduction of the specified photosensitizer and the irradiation session is from 45 to 105 minutes.
EFFECT: present invention provides for the development of photodynamic therapy for transplanted Ehrlich carcinoma of mice using the photosensitizer 132-(5-biguanidylbutylamide)-chlorin e6, with the determination of the optimal drug-light interval, namely the time from PS administration to laser exposure and selection of the dose of PS administration, energy density and the power density of the laser exposure itself to achieve a complete cure, namely, complete tumor regression in 100% of animals up to the 90th day after the PDT session and with minimal damage to surrounding tissues.
