SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and relates to a trunk orthosis comprising a bandage designed to be put on a patient's trunk, and a supporting device which is connected to the bandage. Such orthosis is particularly advantageous for spinal canal stenosis and serves to enclose a body of a patient. Trunk orthosis comprises a bandage that is designed to be put on a patient's trunk, and a supporting device which is connected to the bandage. Supporting device is designed as a frame with frame sections that are hingedly or elastically secured to one another. Sections of the frame are spring-biased, and are pre-stressed by the bandage in its applied state.
EFFECT: invention performs the dynamic function of a hinge and simultaneously provides unloading in the lumbar region of the spine for the patient.
