FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of naphthenic acids by treating an aqueous solution of a mixture of sodium salts of naphthenic acids (naphthenic soap) with a pH control of the medium. Method is characterized in that the naphthenic soap solution is supplied to an electrodialyzer-synthesizer containing bipolar and cation-exchange membranes, and in the acid chambers formed by the cation exchange side of the bipolar membrane and the cation exchange membrane, circulates mineral acid, in alkaline chambers formed by the cation-exchange membrane and anion-exchange side of the bipolar membrane, alkali circulates, in saline chambers formed by cation exchange membranes, naphthenic soap is circulated in which the pH varies from 7 to 2 of the corresponding pKa acids under the action of an electric field and the resulting naphthenic acids are separated from the aqueous solution of naphthenic acid salts, while in acidic chambers the concentration of acid is automatically maintained by H+ ions, and alkali is concentrated in alkaline chambers, which is returned to the leaching of naphthenic acids from petroleum products.
EFFECT: this method is environmentally friendly and does not require the use of mineral acid.
