FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waste water treatment. Method of treating silicon-containing waste water from a process of producing a molecular sieve or catalyst, involving contacting silicon-containing waste water with at least one acid or at least one alkali, as a result, at least part of silicon elements in silicon-containing waste water forms colloid. Thus a mixture containing colloid is obtained. Silicon-containing solid phase and the first liquid phase are formed by separating the solid and liquid phases. Solid phase and the second liquid phase are formed by separating the solid and liquid phases after at least a portion of the metal elements in the first liquid phase forms a precipitate. At least a portion of the second liquid phase undergoes electrodialysis to form an acid solution and/or an alkaline solution. Silicon-containing solid phase can be used as an initial material for synthesis of a molecular sieve. Second liquid phase can be used as flushing water during molecular sieve washing. Acid solution can be used in molecular sieve ion exchange. Alkaline solution can be used as source of alkali during synthesis of molecular sieve.

EFFECT: technical result is providing high degree of extraction of silicon and higher degree of use of waste water.
