FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an oral care composition comprising a two-component oxidising system and a method for its use. Disclosed oral care composition contains: a bleaching system containing hydrogen peroxide and peroxydisulphate, wherein the ratio of peroxydisulphate to peroxide ranges from 10:1 to 100:1 by weight; in which the pH of the composition ranges from 7 to 8; hydrogen peroxide is present in an amount of 0.05 % to 0.2 % by weight of the composition and; peroxydisulphate is present in an amount of 5 % to 7 % by weight of the composition. Also disclosed is a teeth whitening method, comprising bringing the teeth into contact with said oral care composition.
EFFECT: use in the composition of the ratio of hydrogen peroxide and peroxydisulphate at said pH of the composition provides an excellent whitening effect when using the composition.
