SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insulation system for electrical machines, in particular in high-voltage applications. Insulation system for electrical machines includes a solid and porous insulating material and a catalytically and/or thermally curable impregnating resin. Impregnating resin is free of acid anhydrides and includes any reactive resin with oxirane functionality or a mixture of various reactive resins with oxirane functionality. In the insulation system, at least one thermally activated and/or encapsulated hardener component is present. Insulation system is used in an electrical coil.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a substitute for acid anhydrides as a hardener.
