FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry and anesthesiology. Anesthetic is injected into the retromolar space. Injection point is defined as the intersection point of the bisector of the angle formed by the lateral groove and the pterygoid-maxillary fold, with the bisector of the angle formed by the bisector-maxillary fold and the alveolar process of the upper jaw. Syringe is advanced in the direction of the line running from the point of injection to the contralateral mandibular canine tooth. After contact of the needle tip with the bone, the first anesthetic depot is created. Then the syringe is rejected outwards and the needle is advanced 15 mm inward, where the second anesthetic depot is created. At the same time, no more than 1/6 of the total volume of the injected preparation is used to create the first anesthetic depot.
EFFECT: invention can be used when performing mandibular anesthesia.
