SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in neurohistology to monitor the dynamics of regeneration after an injury to peripheral nerves. For this purpose, a sample of blood serum of an animal (rat) with a peripheral nerve injury is taken for the study on the 90th, 150th, 300th day after the injury, the study is carried out using the method of IR spectroscopy, for this, the sample of blood serum is pre-dried, the dry residue is crushed and suspended in petroleum jelly, the IR spectra are taken in the region of 1,200–1,000 cm-1, then the height of the peaks of the absorption bands with maximums at 1165, 1125, 1070, 1025 cm-1 is determined, then the value of the ratio of the height of the peak with a maximum at 1,165 cm-1 to the height of the peak with a maximum at 1,125 cm-1 is calculated (PARAMETER 1) and the value of the ratio of the height of the peak with a maximum at 1,070 cm-1 to the height of the peak with a maximum at 1,025 cm-1 (PARAMETER 2) is calculated, and if the value of PARAMETER 1 on the 90th day is >1.06, on the 150th day is >1.11, on the 300th day is >0.88 and the value of PARAMETER 2 on the 90th day is <0.76, on 150th day is <0.63, on the 300th day is <0.73, a conclusion is made about the positive dynamics of the regeneration of the peripheral nerve after an injury.

EFFECT: invention provides a quick accurate and low-cost control method that can be used in clinical practice.
