FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing sample from blood serum taken from patient for carrying out infrared spectral analysis. Infrared spectroscopy sample examination is carried out in recording absorption spectra in the bandwidth of 120-1000 cm-1, with absorption band peaks having maximum heights of 1170; 1165; 1150; 1140; 1130; 1100; 1070; 1025 cm-1 being recorded. Ratios of each peak to the preceding one as 1170/1165, 1165/1150, 1150/1140, 1140/1130, 1130/1100, 1100/1070, 1070/1025 are calculated. Maximum quotient M and minimum quotient m, D=M-m, mean value of all quotients, Z as ratio of peak height with maximum of 1170 cm-1 to peak height with maximum of 1165 cm-1, R as ratio of peak height with maximum of 1165 cm-1 to peak height with maximum of 1070 cm-1, K as Z/R, X as ratio of peak height with maximum of 1130 cm-1 to C being mean peak height, Q as ratio of peak height with maximum of 1070 cm-1 to C and S as ratio of peak height with maximum of 1100 cm-1 to C. Unfavorable outcome probability is calculated by applying logistic regression model predicting destructive pancreatitis outcome (Y). When Y<0.5, favorable destructive pancreatitis outcome is to be predicted. When Y≥0.5, unfavorable destructive pancreatitis outcome is to be predicted.

EFFECT: accelerated, high accuracy prognosis method.
