FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a device for testing for pregnancy and a method for performing pregnancy testing. A test device comprising assay means to measure the absolute or relative amount of hCG, FSH and progesterone metabolite in a sample from the subject; a device for displaying the analysis result to the user; the computerized control means programmed with the upper and lower threshold values for hCG, with at least one threshold value for FSH and/or with at least one threshold value of the progesterone metabolite and with an algorithm for interpreting the results of the analysis. Also disclosed is a method for detecting pregnancy by bringing a sample into contact with said digital testing device.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to determine pregnancy with a sensitivity of 99 % or higher and a specificity of 99 % or higher, nor does it require information regarding the age of the woman or previous measurement of the level of hCG, FSH, or progesterone metabolite.
