METHOD FOR THE PREVENTION OF PROGRESSION OF RETINAL DETACHMENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2674381 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to prevent the progression of retinal detachment. Perform barrier laser coagulation of the retina around the zone of local retinal detachment with obtaining coagulates of II-III degree according to L'Esperance in 4–6 rows. After 3–7 days, YAG-laser dissection of the fibro-modified edge of the retinal gap is performed in the form of 3–6 radial laxative incisions. In this case, YAG-laser dissection is carried out on an Ellex Ultra Q Reflex laser machine with a wavelength of 1,064 nm, a pulse duration of 4 ns, a spot diameter at the focus of 8 mcm, and an energy per pulse of 5.0–8.0 mJ.

EFFECT: method provides reduction in the risk of progression of retinal detachment by eliminating the tangential traction syndrome during non-invasive laser intervention.
