FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Method includes laser treatment of valve retinal ruptures with application of laser on yttrium-aluminium garnet (YAG). Performing barrier laser coagulation of retina around rupture with wavelength 532 nm, power 0.1-0.3 W, spot diameter in focus 100-200 mcm, pulse duration 0.05-0.1 s and after pigmentation of coagulates performing retinotomy of valve base with Nd:YAG laser with cutting off "tongue" of valve rupture on laser system "Ellex Ultra Q Reflex – Nd:YAG" with wavelength of 1,064 nm, spot diameter in focus of 8 mcm, pulse duration of 4 ns. Before the YAG-laser retinotomy, a test YAG-laser exposure is applied to the apex of the "tongue" of the valve rupture, after which the YAG-laser retinotomy is performed with pulse energy 2 mJ higher than the test value.
EFFECT: method enables minimizing the risk of choroidal haemorrhages during the YAG laser exposure by selecting the effective energy and reducing the number of laser pulses.
