METHOD OF RETROGRADE RECANALIZATION OF CHRONIC OCCLUSION OF CORONARY ARTERIES (COCA) Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2675061 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in X-ray surgical cardiology for the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions of the heart and blood vessels, in particular chronic occlusions of coronary arteries (COCA). Method of retrograde recanalization of chronic occlusions of the coronary arteries (COCA) involves catheterization with a guide catheter of a recipient coronary basin, in the zone of which COCA is located, the catheterization of the donor coronary basin, simultaneous or sequential contrasting of the recipient and donor coronary basins to identify suitable for retrograde recanalization. Novelty of the method lies in the fact that a coronary conductor of standard length and increased rigidity with microcatheter support and through the collateral canal from the donor basin to the recipient basin is carried out, after performing retrograde COCA recanalization, a coronary conductor of standard length and increased stiffness is captured inside the recipient coronary pool or inside a guide catheter installed at the mouth of the recipient coronary pool, using a low-profile double-lumen balloon catheter, which, subsequently, carry out a catheter balloon angioplasty of the area of chronic coronary occlusion.

EFFECT: technical result of the proposed method is to reduce the time of radiation exposure, reducing the volume of the injected contrast agent and, accordingly, complications, associated with excessive administration of a radiopaque preparation, reduction of the cost of surgical intervention (economic effect) – by 10 %.
