FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for mechanized welding and surfacing of low-carbon and medium-carbon low-alloy steels in protective environments in the manufacture of metal structures. Sheath of cored wire is made of low carbon steel. Mixture contains components in the following ratio, wt%: iron oxide 54–73.9, aluminum powder 18.9–25.9, graphite 0.1–4, ferrosilicon 0.01–10, ferromanganese 0.01–10, nickel 0.01–3. Fill factor of the wire charge is 10–50 %.
EFFECT: cored wire provides a weld with high bond strength without reducing ductility and toughness.
