FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiac surgery and clinical echocardiography, and can be used for the preoperative determination of the volume of the left ventricle, which will be optimal when performing the operation of geometric reconstruction of the left ventricle in patients with postinfarction left ventricular aneurysm. Three-dimensional echocardiography is performed, determining the initial pre-operative values of the parameters: end-diastolic volume of the left ventricle (EDV LV); end systolic volume (ESV) of the left ventricle; stroke volume (SV) of the left ventricle; global ejection fraction of the left ventricle (EF LV). Determine the preoperative baseline heart rate (HR) and the surface area of the patient (S). Calculate the value of the cardiac index (CI). As the optimal individual perioperative EDV LV of the heart takes the EDV value, which will correspond to the value of the cardiac index of at least 2.0 l/min/m2, while the values of the initial EF LV, HR, and S of the body surface must remain unchanged, and the values of ESV, SV, CI must change.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of determining the optimal individual volume of the left ventricle, which must be obtained as a result of the operation of the left ventricle geometric reconstruction, minimize the risk of developing a low cardiac ejection syndrome and heart failure by minimizing the error in determining the initial volumetric characteristics of the left ventricle and its total ejection fraction.
