FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the detection of slow neutrons. Device for detecting a slow neutron contains the first converter of slow neutrons and the second converter of slow neutrons, interoperable with incident neutrons and electron generation, an electron multiplication and reading device located between the first slow neutron converter and the second converter of slow neutrons and made with the possibility of multiplying and reading electrons, and the device for multiplying and reading electrons contains the first cathode wire set, the second cathode wire set and the wire set of the reading electrode.
EFFECT: technical result – increased detection efficiency of slow neutrons.
