FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to active thrust hydro/air-dynamic bearings, and can be used in high-speed, high-load or precession rotary machines. Active thrust hydro/air-dynamic bearing assembly comprises casing accommodating shaft with pivot and liner accommodating one lubricating orifice connected with feed line. In addition, the bearing assembly comprises a control system connected to an axial movement sensor and a shaft speed sensor, as well as a pressure sensor connected to the supply line and control valves connecting the supply line with the lubricating hole. Also disclosed is a method of controlling characteristics of said bearing assembly, which consists in installing shaft with a foot in a thrust bearing, in which there is at least one lubricating hole connected to control valves, wherein axial movement of the shaft relative to the insert is controlled by changing the pressure of the lubricant supplied to the thrust bearing through the lubrication holes by means of control valves. Method then includes setting the setting value in the control system, in which data on pressure of lubricant supply to the thrust bearing, rotation frequency and axial movement of the shaft are additionally transmitted, and at inequality of axial gap and setpoint values change of supply pressure is controlled by program installed in control system, depending on lubricant supply pressure, rotation speed and axial movement of shaft.
EFFECT: wider operating range of shaft rotation frequency, control of dynamic and static characteristics of bearing assembly, higher accuracy of control and reliability.
