SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the radio communications. According to embodiments, an electronic device comprises a circuit adapted to control transmitting or receiving signals through a plurality of component carriers, including the first component carrier; transmitting a measurement report to a base station, wherein the base station is configured to determine whether to perform a handover based on the measurement report; and receiving from the base station, after the base station determines that it is necessary to conduct the handover and before the electronic device transmits a random access preamble to the target base station, a deactivation command instructing the electronic device to reduce said plurality of component carriers to one component carrier.
EFFECT: handover in the case of carrier aggregation, without significant effect on the existing system or device.
