SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport engineering. In the first version, aluminium pickup bed comprises a bottom of the body, a front sill and a headboard. Front sill has a rear flange attached to the bottom of the body, a rear wall, a bottom wall, a front wall and a closed front flange attached to the bottom of the body. Headboard is attached to the front wall of the front sill with self-drilling screws. According to the second version, the aluminium pickup bed comprises the bottom of the body, welded to the front flange. Bottom of the body has a flange of the bottom of the body, extending down from the front edge and inserted between the headboard and the front wall. Method of assembling the pickup bed comprises obtaining the bottom of the body, obtaining a front sill, attaching the bottom of the body to the front flange, obtaining a headboard and installing a plurality of screws through the headboard, the bottom flange of the floor and the front sill.
EFFECT: higher strength and reduction of the weight of the truck bed.
