SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catching devices used to eliminate accidents in wells with pipes, namely to emergency tools used to extract emergency pipes from a well, for example, dangling sucker rods, by gripping them outside. Device contains dies and housing having a conical surface and made in the form of a return funnel in the bottom. Dies are mounted in the conical surface of the housing motionless with shear pins. Each shear pin is pressed into separate holes made in the housing and die. At the same time at the lower end of the conical surface of the housing there is a flat wall located perpendicular to the axis of the housing. On the lower part of the inner wall of the dies there is a conical surface, tapering upwards.

EFFECT: manufacturability is increased.
