SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pickup truck structures. In the method, the pickup bed contains a sheet metal bed floor. Said floor has two center beads extending from the front cross support to the rear cross support. Said floor forms a hole between the center beads and between the front and rear cross supports. Said center beads are separated from each other by less than the diameter of the hole in the cross supports and more than the diameter at the location adjacent to the hole.
EFFECT: increase in the rigidity of the floor is achieved in relation to the longitudinal bending loads.
