FIELD: trackless land vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: wheel unit (2) comprises base structure (4) and wheel (9) mounted on supporting element (10) so as to rotate about relative axis (11) of rotation. Supporting element (10) is mounted on base structure (12) so as to rotate about orientation axis (12). Drive means comprise at least an input unit and output shaft (16). Input unit (15) comprises engagement means designed to reversibly engage the input unit on drive unit (27) of motor unit (3). Output shaft (16) is made integrally with supporting element (10) and defines orientation axis (12). Drive means are adapted to convert the input movement of input unit (15) into the output rotation of output shaft (16) about orientation axis (12). Motor (26), having drive unit (27), comprises complementary engagement means designed to work in combination with the engagement means of the input unit for reversibly engaging the input unit on the drive unit.

EFFECT: technical result is to facilitate the movement of conveying devices on wheels, such as beds, stretchers, or trolleys, along curved paths and in confined spaces.
