Device includes a built-in high-pressure cylinder with compressed air, used as an energy source and including a pressure indicator. When the catcher descends into the well, the upper dangling end of the extracted sucker rod is moved away from the wall of the production column by the guide funnel of the catcher, it is centered by the protrusion of the catcher case and, passing through the collet hole, pushes the valve and opens the hole. Compressed air from the cylinder exits through a slightly open hole into the cavity in front of the piston and acts on the piston. Piston, moving, pushes the collet. Collet rests on the ledge of the safety device body during the movement, and sliding on it, squeezes the extracted sucker rod. Safety cylinder has a nipple for pumping compressed air, a pressure alarm.
