SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, in particular to a process for the preparation of N-(1-adamantan-1-yl)amides of the structure indicated below, where R=Me, Et, CH2=CH, Ph, o-MeC6H4 n-Bu, by Bn catalytic reaction of adamantanol-1 with nitriles, characterized in that acetonitrile or propionitrile or benzonitrile or acrylonitrile or ortho-tolylnitrile or valeronitrile or benzyl cyanide are used as nitriles, the reaction is carried out in the presence of a CuBr2 catalyst at 130–150 °C for 6–8 hours at a molar ratio [CuBr2]:[1-AdOH]:[RCN] – 10:100:100–300 in an argon atmosphere. .
EFFECT: new method for the preparation of N-(1-adamantane-1-yl)amides, biologically active amine precursors, has been developed, it is distinguished by the availability and cheapness of the starting reagents and catalyst, simplified technology and high selectivity.
