FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method is carried out in a network node of a cellular network, which is configured to support multiple beams in a beamforming scheme for signal beams and communicate with a wireless communication device using at least one of the multiple beams. One or more candidate rays are identified, the reference signal is transmitted in each of the candidate rays, provide for the reservation of the uplink resource of at least one of the candidate beams and providing communication with the wireless communication device using the target beam.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the risk of loss of connection between the wireless communication device and the communication network.
