FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of studies of the strength properties of solid materials by the application to them of repeated mechanical forces, in particular to the study of the strength of the metal in the zone of contact interaction of the wheel with the rail. Stand contains a device for installation and fastening in it through boxen bearings of the tested wheel set, a mechanism that causes the wheel pair to rotate, a frame with a roller installed on it, the cross-sectional shape of the profile wheels of which in the area of contact with the wheels of the wheelset is made in the form of a rail. On the frame consisting of one or several flat frames rigidly fixed relative to the tested wheelset, an even number of rollers are installed, where the cross-sectional shape of the profiled wheels in the contact zone with the wheels of the tested wheelset is made in the shape of a rail. Rollers in the frame of the stand are installed by means of bearings, the outer housings of which are mounted through side bearings, providing the possibility of moving the rollers in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the tested wheelset. Set value of the contact pressure on the wheels from the side of the rollers is created by power devices, that include a spring, a spring tension mechanism, a device for fixing the spring tension mechanism in a predetermined position, a device for measuring the spring tension, detachable frame that allows to circle the specified power device around the axis of the tested wheelset, and two bearing units, by means of which the spring tension force is transmitted on the axis of the rotating rollers. Changing the position of the profile wheels on the axis of the rollers, you can set the position and width of the zone where the metal will be tested in the area of contact interaction between the wheel and the rail, as well as the amount of slippage of this zone relative to the wheel surface. Method of testing, using the described stand, is to test the metal in the area of contact interaction of the wheels of the tested wheelset and profile wheels of rollers, that imitate the rolling surface of the rails.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the time of bench tests of the contact area of the wheel with the rail, reducing the total mass of the stand, simplifying the process of controlling the operation of the stand.
