SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating systems. Proposed is a cartridge for use in an electrically heated aerosol-generating system, while the electrically heated aerosol-generating system contains an aerosol-generating device, a cartridge that can be used with the device, wherein the device comprises a device housing; an inductor coil located in the device housing, and a power supply connected to the inductor coil and configured to provide high-frequency oscillating current to the inductor coil; the cartridge comprises a cartridge housing containing an aerosol-forming substrate, wherein the housing has an internal surface surrounding an internal passage through which air can flow; and a susceptor element mounted to heat the aerosol-forming substrate, while the aerosol-forming substrate is retained in an annular space surrounding the internal passage.

EFFECT: creating a system that allows the use of replaceable elements to replenish the aerosol-forming substrate, which has lower manufacturing costs and is more reliable than the spray cartridges currently available, and at the same time more convenient for consumers to use, and eliminating the need for solder joints and providing sealed device that can be easily cleaned.
