SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrically heated aerosol generating system. The electrically heated aerosol generating system contains an aerosol generating device and a cartridge made with the possibility of being used with the mentioned device. The device contains a device case forming a cavity for accommodation of at least part of the cartridge, an induction coil located in the device case around or near the cavity and located outside of the cartridge, when the cartridge is placed in the cavity, and a power supply source connected to the induction coil and made with the possibility of supply of high-frequency oscillating current to the induction coil. The cartridge contains a cartridge case containing aerosol forming substrate. The cartridge case has an inner surface surrounding an inner channel made with the possibility of provision of an airflow through it. A current collector element is installed for heating of aerosol forming substrate. Aerosol forming substrate is liquid substrate retained in capillary material. During the use, a magnetic field generated by the induction coil causes heat generation in the current collector element in the cartridge.
EFFECT: optimization of maximum heat generation and heat transfer to aerosol forming substrate is ensured for provision of effective heating of a current collector, minimization of heat losses from a device, and provision of cooling of evaporated aerosol forming substrate inside an inner channel.
