FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: present invention may be used in turbocharged internal combustion engines. This method for a turbocharged engine consists in that, in response to a differential between the intake and exhaust pressures below the threshold value, low pressure exhaust gas recirculation (LP-EGR) valve (39) is controlled along with low pressure intake throttle (82) to control the LP-EGR flow and differential to maintain the appropriate set points. In response to a differential above the threshold, LP-EGR valve (39) is either fully opened or completely closed to minimize the differential and throttle (82) is actuated to regulate the flow to maintain its specified value. Disclosed are a variant of the method for a turbocharged engine and an internal combustion engine system.
EFFECT: increased stability of the LP-EGR control system and reduced movement of the drives.
