FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an X-ray emitter housing window. Window consists of aluminum foil with a thickness of 50–60 microns, attached vacuum tightly to a supporting plate attached to the body of the tube, made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion, the same as the material of the body. Supporting plate is made in the area of the hole in the radiator housing in the form of a grid with a pitch of not more than 2 mm and a transparency coefficient of at least 0.8. Ratio of the size of the window in the area of the hole in the body and the thickness of the jumpers of the grid of the supporting plate is not more than 40:1.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the efficiency of obtaining radiation in the long-wavelength range, ensuring high image contrast when working with objects of low X-ray density with a small depth of radiation penetration into the tissue during x-ray therapy.
