FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation for controlling inventory numbers of cars. System contains supports installed on opposite sides of the rail track with television cameras reviewing the left and right sides, system unit of the operator’s automated workplace with a monitor, while the television cameras are connected to the corresponding inputs of the system unit. Additionally the system has a laser range finder installed on one of the supports, the output of which is connected via a digital comparator, the free input of which is connected to the range input unit, connected to the system unit, besides the laser rangefinder is set at an angle to the horizontal plane perpendicular to the axis of the railway track above the car frames so that its axis passes over the hitch and is at the level of the car frame angle distant from it, there are television cameras of the wheelchair carts of the left and right side mounted on the supports, the outputs of which, both directly and through the recognition and counting controllers of the wheel carts, are connected to the inputs of the system unit.

EFFECT: increase of the reliability and configurated system data integrity is achieved.
