FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyurethane compositions, films and methods for manufacture thereof. Curable composition comprises primary polyisocyanate, monohydroxyl acrylic polydimethylsiloxane in an amount of 0.1–5.0 wt.% relative to the total weight of the composition and a polyol selected from the group consisting of: caprolactone polyol, polycarbonate polyol, ester polyol, acrylic polyol, polyether polyol, polyolefin polyol, and mixtures thereof.
EFFECT: invention provides improved stain resistance of polyurethane coatings by imparting a low-surface energy surface to a polyurethane layer, facilitates removal of contaminants, provided articles retain excellent clarity and processibility for use in surface protection applications.
