FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a system with a sensor based on electroactive material (preferably an electroactive polymer), comprising sensor (22) based on electroactive material and control system (28) for performing measurements related to impedance of sensor based on electroactive material, at least first and second different frequencies. From these measurements, the temperature at the sensor and the external pressure or force applied to the sensor can be determined. Sensor can thus be used as a pressure sensor and as a temperature sensor.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring temperature and pressure, since when used in combination with actuation, a drive based on electroactive material with built-in temperature sensing functionality is able to measure temperature in the exact position of the drive, which is always closer than the external thermocouple.
