SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to a system and method for selecting a parking space for a vehicle. This system implementing a method for selecting a parking space for a vehicle includes a communication interface and a processing device. Said processing device determines the proximity of the main vehicle to the target location. When the proximity to the target location is less than a predetermined value, the processing device instructs the communication interface to transmit the target location to the parking server. In response, the processing device receives a message identifying at least one parking zone from the parking server. Here, the processing of the message includes the enumeration of a plurality of parking zones by the processing device in the main vehicle in accordance with their rating.

EFFECT: effective selection of parking spaces for vehicles is provided.
