FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power engineering for conversion of solar radiation into electric energy. Semiconductor solar battery based on a concentrator of photosensitive mirror semitransparent metal electrodes using thermoelectric conversion is made in the form of a semi-cylinder consisting of alternating segments of p- and n-type semiconductor materials connected by mirror metal electrodes. Each metal electrode consists of two semitransparent metal electrodes with different work function of electrons, wherein these electrodes at edges are connected by a dielectric surface, and in space between electrodes, air is pumped out for occurrence of photoelectric effect.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency due to conversion of maximum number of photons into electricity.
