FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. Proposed are systems and methods for determining an air-fuel error in an engine, to which fuel is supplied by direct injection and injection into the intake passage. Errors related to individual injection systems differ from the total error according to the dynamics of changes in correction factors by the error of individual fuel injection systems. Adaptive fuel multipliers for each of the injection systems are updated taking into account the total error. Thus, the operation of each of direct fuel injection system and system of fuel injection into the intake passage can be optimized, or the engine fuel supply can be transferred to a system with a smaller fuel injection error, while a system with a larger fuel injection error can be turned off.
EFFECT: invention provides improved engine and exhaust emission performance.
