SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in supercharged internal combustion engines. Method of operation of overflow valve (26) for exhaust gases is to determine the limit value of the electric current of actuator (150) of overflow valve (26) for exhaust gases and limit the amount of boost in response to the limit value of electric current and on the basis of environmental conditions by controller (12). Restriction on the magnitude of the boost includes the stage at which actuator (150) of bypass valve (26) for exhaust gases is installed in the position by applying at most an electric current equal to the limiting value of the electric current to actuator (150) of bypass valve (26) for exhaust gases. Limit value of the electric current is determined based on the temperature of the exhaust gas actuator (150) of bypass valve (26), determined on the basis of environmental conditions, including the ambient temperature closest to the exhaust gas actuator. Variant of the method of operation of the exhaust valve for exhaust gases and the method of operation of the electric actuator of the exhaust valve for exhaust gases is disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of estimating the temperature of the motor drive bypass valve.
