FIELD: computer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Coding device to determine possible variants of the motion vector predictor for the unit to be encoded, contains a receiving unit for obtaining a plurality of motion vectors, wherein the plurality of motion vectors are capable of including at least a plurality of spatial motion vectors, derived from a frame that includes the unit to be encoded, or a temporal motion vector obtained from a frame other than the frame that includes the unit, to be encoded; a processing unit for performing processing of a plurality of spatial motion vectors obtained by the obtaining unit; and a determination unit for determining at least a portion of the plurality of motion vectors, received by the acquisition unit, as possible variants of the motion vector predictor for the unit to be encoded, the processing unit excluding one of the identical motion vectors from the set of spatial motion vectors in the case of, when identical spatial motion vectors were obtained by the acquisition unit, and the temporal motion vector is not subject to the processing performed by the processing unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing computational complexity.
